Legal Question in Medical Malpractice in Indiana

I was in Hospital a year and a half ago for a Double bypass and ended up with an infected sternum I was wondering if I had a case against the surgeon? I went to him 4 times for a check up and he said everything was fine in the mean time the infection ate part of my sterum away! At first the doctor was a nice guy but after he found out about the infection he turnned into doctor hyde! He wanted a plastic surgeon to take over my case and they moved me to another hospital. Then the plastic surgeon was moving me to a long term care hospital the day I was being transfered the original surgeon came to my room an said"Do me a favor next time you feel sick and are going into hospital take some tylenol and man up". After all my treatments at the long term care place 6 months of agonising treatmets I returned home, the original surgeon had me come to his office and virtualy said he didn't want me as a patient any longer.

Your best bet is to have a physician review the records to determine whether your infection was a result of a deviation of the standard of care.
