Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

Breaking Lease Terms

I entered into a lease with a tenant with the option to purchase. The property manager erroneously included a term that states I will not market the property during the lease. The tenant has not come through with acquiring financing. What are the possible repercussions of listing the home. The lease is up in August.

Re: Breaking Lease Terms

Without having the document in front of me, I can only give you general guidance. Why don't you talk to your tenant and ask if you can list and show the property since he is not going to be able to buy you out. If he agrees, get it in writing.
