Re: trying to buy house cant locate owner

If the parties were divorced and the wife were awarded the house, a certified copy of the decree could be filed with the recorder - or the wife could request the court appoint a commissioner to sign his name to the deed. If they are not divorced, then it is possible to have a guardian appointed over the estate of the husband for the purpose of perserving his property and having it sold with a court order that the guardian sell the property. Otherwise, such a property is not a good deal because you cannot get good title.
