House & Mortgage Inheiritance

I inheirited a house from my mother. I don't have good credit-will the mortgage company allow me to just keep making the payments on her mortgage? I have been making the payments for 8 years while she couldnt.

The chances are that the mortgage company does not even know hat she died.
