Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Indiana

During a previous relationship, my partner and I purchased a property together. When the relationship ended, I signed a quit claim deed for the property with him signing an agreement to repay money I contributed toward purchase of the property. He has since repaid in full and wants a copy of his agreement signed by me showing paid in full. I, unfortunately, cannot not readily locate this agreement. He is pressuring me to sign alternate documenation he provided; however, I don't believe that is necessary as he has cancelled checks to show he paid. What recourse does he have?

If you are paid in full, give him something in writing showing he has paid in full. What is the harm?
