Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

I am the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, of my recent signifigant other who passed away. He told me that his family couldn't stop it because it would come directly from the insurance company to me. Is this true? Please help. Thank you

Yes, it will come directly from the l.i. company if you are the beneficary. You should make a claim with that company for the proceeds from the policy if you have not already done so.
