Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Indiana

My father has recently died leaving his farm in a trust. Before his passing, he appointed my cousin an me a CO power of attorneys....... which did NOT work since I was never acknowledge for even drawing breath. True to form, I am now CO trustee of this trust. My cousin has run amuck and simply out of control with his newly found powers and as of this morning still has personal property of my father's in his possession....... protecting all, you see, so I do not "steal" anything. Can I now call the state police and press charges? He will not return any of my msgs and the attorney who prepared all this lost his wife yesterday to heart surgery. When does MY co-ship begin? Will has not yet been read. Executor of trust not yet named...... officially. I need help..... :) !!!!

Need to get the Court involved. You may have to file for injunctive relief, and you may have to ask the Court to remove him as a Co-Trustee. (That would be the best course.)

You need to take the paperwork in to your OWN attorney (not the attorney who prepared the paperwork) and get his/her perspective on it. It seems like you have a lot at stake and need more help than a posting on a free internet forum can provide you.

Good luck.
