Legal Question in Technology Law in Iowa

Ownership of Personal Image & Data?

Some time back, I posted my image and personal info on a personals website (based outside of my home state). I have since decided I that I do not want my info or picture on this site. The site does not have a mechanism for a member to delete their own profile or photo. I have asked the webmaster/site owner to delete my profile and photo, but he refuses to do so. What recourse do I have? Are there any laws relating to my ''ownership'' of my personal profile info and image? Please advise. Thanks!

Re: Ownership of Personal Image & Data?

I would want to review the TOU for the site to advise you. Normally it is a contractual issue. Was there a fee for the use of the site? If so, there are usually Terms and Conditions in place. Call or e-mail for further assistance.
