Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Iowa

I was sued for a default judgment entry. I filed a response to the petition denying the claim. I was sent back an order stating that the court views the letter as an answer, and denies the Request for Default judgment Entry as to the Defendant (me).

Does this mean that they can not sue me for this debt?

No. What it means is that they'll have to proceed further to collect from you.
