Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Iowa

I bought a scooter for my son in September and have taken it in to get the same thing fixed for the 3rd time, the warrenty is almost out on this scooter. The guy who has it has been quite nasty to deal with after the purchase and when we took it in to get fixed this last time for gas gauge not working along with the automatic start. We filled a BBB complaint stating all this he commented the last response saying he worked on the carborator and that isn't covered under warrenty and that cost $70 an hour - if I continue this complaint he doesn't know how many hours it will cost us for him to fix the carborator. Am I liable to pay for something that I didn't authorize and that I truely believe he didn't work on?

Where does it say in the warranty that the carburetor work is not covered?
