Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Iowa

My sister in Iowa had the power of attorney for my father and leased out 120 acres for a 5 year lease to farm the acreage. My father died 1-1/2 years later. We now want to sell the land but have 3 years left on the lease. Are we required to honor the lease?
