Legal Question in Family Law in Italy
I am a South African citizen, married to an Italian citizen, and I have been living here in Italy since June 2007. I have a 2 year old baby boy. My sister, who is currently living in South Africa, is a drug addict, she has a 4 year old son. She recently signed her son over to my mother, who is a USA green card holder, and residing in USA. My mother wishes to give my nephew to me because she is an elder and she is finding it very tiring to take care of my nephew.
We urgently require advise on how to go about doing this.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

It is necessary that you contact a specialist in "diritto dei minori"
In addition to what mr. Chianini said, in my opinion you should also consult a lawyer in the place in which your Mother lives and the social services of your place of residence.
