Higher Child Support?!!?
My lawyer now tells me that the MORE my exwife makes the MORE I have to pay for child support. Well, after doing my own research on the Kansas SRS child support calculator it seems he is wrong and that the child support is lessened the more she makes. My lawyer has personally done nothing and I have done all the research as far as my divorce and now child support goes. She makes 3 times what I do, and he has known that, but now all of a sudden tells me that I will pay more if we tell the courts how much she is really making other than what she has told them she is. I personally think he too busy or too lazy to do his job. Am I correct?

Instead of both of you guessing, ask you attorney to run a child support worksheets with the lower and one with the higher incomes. That way you will know for sure. Don't guess, run the figures on the worksheet.
