Name on Birth Certificate

If a baby is born in a hospital in Kentucky can the mother put on the birth certificate the name she chooses as the legal father?

Yes. However, this is not a final determination

of paternity in Illinois. However, since she is

in Kentucky, I suggests that an attorney in Kentucky be contacted immediately by the actual

father of the child.
