Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

My daughter died 8 months ago. My son-in-law moved to Missouri a week ago to be with a girl he met on the internet. He turned his cell phone off and I can't get a phone number to call my 6 year old grandson (whom we are VERY close to) and he won't call me. What do I do??? Is there any thing I can do as in a welfare check to see if my grandson is OK? I am heart broken and need to know he is OK. Thanks,, Mickey

I'm sorry for your loss. You might consider calling the local police to do a safety and wellness check on them. Explain that Dad has just suffered the loss of his wife, and he has impulsively moved away with a stranger, obviously as a result of his profound grief, and you're concerned for their health. You can also call Child Services if the Missouri police won't help. And talk to an attorney in your county about your options for grandparent visitation if Dad continues to be nonresponsive.
