Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Father custody rights

My son's girlfriend left him and they have a 18 month old baby. She filed a domestic violence EPO on him and it is all false information. He has their baby in his possesion however there is a court date of Febuary 5th and she is trying to gain temporary custody and child suppport. She is a very unstable mother that floats from home to home to have people take care of her. She comes from a family of child sexual abuse in which she was abused herself at age 5 and her family did nothing about it and forces her to this day to associate with her molester. Her father tried to burn down their house and has been in drug rehab and halfway house and still is. We have no idea where to start as me and my sons father have been married for 23 years and all 5 kids we have are both of ours so we have no idea how to help our son. All I know is he loves his baby and wants joint custody he is not asking to keep the baby away from his mother but she is again unstable a compulsive lair and has let the baby wonder in the hall ways of their apartment complex not paying attention to where the baby was just in deep concern that he would be harmed if the courts allow her full custody. Please help everyone in the court system is saying she has 100% rights

Re: Father custody rights

Your son needs an attorney "yesterday." He, or you on his behalf, should seek referrals for someone in your locality who is knowledgeable about family law.

Good luck!
