im about to marry my girl friend. we are lesbians. what are the laws and rights after our marriage?

finacial, housing, etc...

As for Kentucky, gay and lesbian marriages are not recognized as legal marriages. Because of that, you and your girlfriend would still be treated as single individuals. There are some companies and organizations, even some that receive state funding, that extend benefits same sex marriages, but they do so voluntarily or contractually.

When it comes to children, if one of you conceives, the other does not gain any sort of parental or custody rights.
