Legal Question in Family Law in Kentucky

Wife filed for divorce in another city

We both live in KY but she moved out about 8 weeks ago to another city and is filing there. Should I get a local lawyer in the city that I am in or would it be more of an advatage to get a lawyer in the city it is being filed assuming this does not go to trial?

It would be more of an advantage to obtain counsel from an attorney with whom you feel most comfortable representing you. You can hire counsel from the town you live to represent you in another city if that attorney is willing to do so. I would suggest that you speak with attorneys in both cities and hire an attorney you feel is the best fit for you.

Good luck.
