Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Kentucky

I broke up with my boyfriend and left some of my things at his house. When I discovered this I simply sent him a friendly email and told him he could keep/sell/burn everything that all I would like to have is a photo album of my cousin who was killed by a drunk driver at 19 that I was keeping for her son who is now 5 but was 10 months at the time of the accident and in the car with her. I told him I would even mail him a check to cover shipping. His new wife (its been about 1.5 months) email me back very politely and told me she would send it. Now that it came down to time to do it she told me she wouldn't send it and that I was harrassing them and they would take legal action if needed. I was just wondering if there was anything I could do to get this album back? I have no problem paying an attorney if needed for this album is priceless and can never be replaced.

I live in Ohio but the ex lives in Kentucky

Likely a letter from an attorney will resolve the problem. Contact an attorney in his jurisdiction. You can sue him in small claims if necessary.
