can a company reduce my salary

I have a management position and an outsider alobng with my boss is trying to cut my pay by 33% and put me in another position so a CHOSEN one can be put in my position. I'm 61 and a Vietnam Nam era vet. Is this legal?

It would not be lawful if your age is being taken into consideration in cutting your salary and replacing you.
