Legal Question in Tax Law in Kentucky

IRS wants proof of custody

I have claimed my children on my taxes for the past 14 yrs. IRS has flagged '01 &'02. Both parents live in the same home. There is no ''custody'' issue. I used a PO Box as my address and she used the house address. Same as every year. Do I need an Affidavit of Custody or what are they wanting to clear this up?
