Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Kentucky

My dad passed away and he didnt have a will I was told cause I was next to kin that I had to handle his estate his last wishs have been taken care of so now I dont know what to do

It depends on what he owned when he died. If he owned property, for instance, you would need to open up an estate and petition the court to be the administrator so you can transfer title to his heir, sell the property and distribute the proceeds to his heirs, etc. The clerks office can give you some basic information on that process, and if you feel you can't get through on your own, you can hire an attorney to do it for you.
