Can a bill collector "google" your neighbor. Contact your neighbor and ask that your neighbor take the bill collectors contact info, go to your home and give you the bill collectors info for you to contact them? Is this legal or does this go against the privacy act ?

I believe that tactic would be considered abusive under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
