Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Louisiana

My husband has been owing a credit card about $6,000 and last week he was served with court papers. I called them and tried to settle, but they want 70% of the debt and I don't have that. I told the debt collection law firm that we are having a hardship and I agreed to pay $100 per month. I am wondering since we are in Louisiana can they take any of my assets? My name is not on the credit card nor did I use it. Also all of the property-home, cars, etc is in my name..Can they come after me or take our posessions even though we don't share money and is not my debt?

If the debt was incurred during the community, then it is a community debt no matter whose name it is in.
