Legal Question in Criminal Law in Louisiana

If someone is placed on probation for 2 years with a 5 year suspended sentence for assault of a police officer, refusing arrest, possession of illegal pharmaceuticals, simple battery, public intoxication, and then a year later is arrested and makes a plea bargain accepting aggravated sexual assault charges and is sentenced 2 years probation with a 5 year suspended sentence. Is there a law on sentencing someone probation while they are on probation? This person never had to back up their first 5 year suspended sentence. Also, isn't convicting that felony while on probation a violation of probation? This person was placed on a probation hold but posted bail after 30 days. Are you allowed to post bail while on a probation hold. Important facts, this WOMAN who committed these criminal acts is the daughter of the (at the time that these crimes were committed) Chief of Police of a township within a Parish in Louisiana. Also, the woman sexual assaulted a man by an act of sodomy including the use of a hair brush, glass bottle, salt, febreeze, pepper, and lysol. This male was hospitalized from this incident. Please tell me if there is anything that does not appear justifiably correct as I find this severely hard to believe that justice has been served to this act.
