Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

Contempt of Court

My husband has a court order for child custody. He was awarded the normal ever other weekend visitation. However upon trying to pick up his child for visitation. (SHE LIVES IN IBERIA PARISH WE LIVE IN TERREBONNE) The mother told us that HE can only visit the child there. SHe would not allow him to leave with her. SHe says she doesnt know him. He found out, he had a child in DEC 2003. SHe has cutt of all ways to contact her. We have no number so we drive 1 hour and 45 minutes to be told NO again. What are the chances of ACTUALLY making this woman fulfill her portion of the court order. Had he not paid child support he'd be in jail! WHat do we do now? PLease HELP!

Re: Contempt of Court

If he has court ordered visitation he can get a local sheriff's deputy to accompany him to pick up his kids. He needs to take a certified copy of the order giving him visitation to show the deputy. The deputies should help him enforce the order.
