Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

i had been living with my ex-boyfriend for 14years and 6months in the home that he purchase right before we had our first child. well we have 2 kids together 14 and 9. When he ended our relationship he said he would move out and allow me and the kids to live in his home (i have a statement that he wrote saying this.) Well now he has changed his mind after 5months and wants to put me out. Can he do this. I know have no legal rights to the home cause its under his name and I know common law is not legal in Louisiana but i was told by a friend that he could not just kick me out and i have no where to go with our kids. Do i have any rights in this matter.

It is possible that a court would award you temporary housing in his home pending final custody determination. You would have to show need and that he would have alternative housing. You are both obligated to provide housing for the children.
