Legal Question in Family Law in Louisiana

i paid my atty 750 dollars a year ago to get full custody and still nothing has been done. she claims its bc his address is unknown and he cant be served. he is in the army national guard and she has hos phone number, what can i do

If he cannot be served, then a curator can be appointed to represent the absentee party and it is the curator's duty to try to locate him. You probably should demand your money back and your file, and get another attorney telling her you will have no choice but to file a complaint with the bar association if she does not comply with your request within 5 days. Once you lose confidence in an attorney you will be questioning everything they are doing, so a change is probably the best thing.
