Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Louisiana

Nullification

I was involved in a civil injury claim during which time I was unable to come to court because of my medical condition. The plaintiff won judgment. I later found out there were a lot of false information and inaccurate information giving to the courts intentionall, in order to win this judgment. I have tried to have the decision nulled but I was reported as untimely filing. I want to know is there a case where a the timliness was overturned because of a person's medical condition. I suffer a severe medical condition which prohibits me from getting around at times, I'm 72 years old. My untimileness was due to trips back and forth to the hospital and also admittance into the hospital. Unless I can get help I stuck with paying this false judgement.

Re: Nullification

You obviously did not have counsel representing you. It is hard to believe that ANY court would proceed with the rendition of a judgment when the opponent was hospitalized. I suspect there is much more to this than you reveal.
