Legal Question in Employment Law in Louisiana

I work at a state prison and while I was at work one day I wrote an inmate up for masturbating in front of me. The supervisor did nothing about the write up. He should have either moved the inmate or put him under house arrest. Later that afternoon the inmate threw a clear fluid on me that went into my mouth. Since then the supervisor was given a letter of council because he didnt do his job and it is still being investigated. I have had to have blood drawn and will continue for the next year to make sure I dont get any disease from this. I have had a hepatitis booster shot. And I have the worry. Several ppl I work with said I should contact an attorney. Do I have a case because of the supervisor not performing his job because if he would have then the inmate would not have the opportunity to throw anything on me?

Yes, I think you may state a case. Find a personal injury attorney in the area where you work and make an appointment. Most charge nothing for initial consultations.
