Legal Question in Personal Injury in Louisiana

Got hurt at work

I fell down the stairs at my work place, I had a few witnesses including the owner. I did not feel hurt at the time. The next day I could hardly move my arm, figured I just strained a muscle. Now, it's almost 2 months later and I am in a lot of pain still. The owner has had many issues with people falling due to the type of flooring. I am sick of it. I am still hurting and have to go to an orthopedic now. My question is, it's been almost 2 months now. Is he still responsible for it? Im am not one to sue, but due to the lack of respect for his employee's (this is my second fall) I think he needs to be tought a lesson on making a work place safe. Thanks!

Re: Got hurt at work

It the stairs are owned by your employer, your claim seems to be limited to workers compensation. If the building is owned by someone other than your employer, you may have an action against them.
