Legal Question in Real Estate Law in Louisiana

My married brother and I inherited an old home from my mother in which I am the sole occupant. I am unmarried and recently retired on social security with no other sources of income and can no longer afford to pay for homeowners insurance. MY CONCERN IS TO PROTECT MY BROTHERS ASSETS. There would be very little to gain from me in a personal injury lawsuit.

Is there some legal document that would allow me to assume sole responsibility in the unlikely event of some personal injury liability lawsuit?

Have him donate the property to you and then you write a will and give him the property if you die first.
