legal time frame of a will?

Louisiana / St. Tammany Parish

When a person dies, and the notorized will they left has not been properly filed, nor probate court sought, by the executor, and 10 years has passed since.... is the will still leagal and who has to pay the cost of probate, succession, etc?

A will does not expire with time, so it is still valid. Probate costs are paid from the assets of the estate.
