Legal Question in Immigration Law in Maine
Wanting to understand
I just got married to someone from Uganda. He has the paper work to fill out to become a u.s. citizen but i would like to really know and understand as well. What do i need to know? How long is this all going to take for him to become a citizen?

well, is your husband trying to acquire permanent resident status or does he already have it and he is trying to acquire citizenship. many natives to the US are not familiar with the process and they do not realize that there are two forms of status.
