Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in Maine

My parent died in 2009. The estate is 2 real estate properties that have not sold yet. The proceeds are to be divided between 5 siblings. One property is for sale, the home. The other is just land and is owned by us and one cousin. Do we have any time limit on settling the estate?

There is no specific time limit, other than one of reasonable diligence and subject to the Court's ongoing Orders. At some point the Court may determine that the estate is not being settled diligently but there is no specific statutory timeframe prescribed.
