Reference billing in advance .

I have signed up for a service which bills 30 days in advance . My definition of 30 days in advance is, to pay on the first of the month that the service starts, but their interpretation is I pay 30 days prior to the start of service state.

Is there a generally accepted accounting practice that defines billing 30 days in advance?

I live in Maryland company providing the service is in New York

s a Franchise Attorney I can say this. For generally accepted accounting practices, talk to a CPA. If it is not spelled out in your service contract, then it is subject to interpretation. Their interpretation is not unreasonable (paying 30 days in advance of the service starting) and is what many others do. Consult with a good business or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
