Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Maryland

i have a quick question, i helped out a friend of mine at the time my boyfriend, i know that was the wrong thing to do but at the time i thought i was helping. i helped with furniture, car, apt.

now the car has been repossessed and i got a letter saying i owe $11,000, the apt he never told me he moved out i got a call saying i owed almost $3000, and the furniture $1000. not to talk about the tickets he never paid, its so embarassing to speak to anyone about this because i know the response i will get, and i know my credit is already damaged because of the repossession.

i was going to let it go and try and make payments, and i am only a full time student no work no drivers license, in the university of maryland .

right now i dont know what to do, i am really confused we dont have a legal agreement, no promissory note, he doesnt return my calls, i have his work number but what can i do with that.

i know what i did was wrong i blame myself and nobody how can i resolve this please my friend was telling me i shouldnt suffer in silence for this but in america what can be done when there was no agreement though he offered to make payments thats it when he got the car but now no response or nothing. what can i do? thank you

You can sue him - if he agreed to pay, and you have to pay, then he should be liable to you for this money.
