my husband and i are in the military and are stationed in maryland where we want to file .he will be moving to north carolina and me texas shortly after within a year. how would we go about getting the divorce?

Whether you can file in Maryland or not depends on the grounds for divorce (the different types of fault and no-fault grounds) and how long you've lived in the state. Since you're moving out of the state at some point, it might not be practical to file here, but that depends on exactly when you plan on moving and whether the case is contested or not.
