Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

I am married and just bee diagnos with a form of cancer and, 1- my husband assualted me 2 months ago how long do I have to charge him with this & 2- he has walk out on the marriage and the home (new home owner) what can I do in some kind of sense can he be held liable for his responsibilities to me and the household, no kids involved????

As for the assault charge, you should have pressed charges when it happened--I doubt the police will get involved at this point. You can call them to verify. As for the desertion by your husband, you can file a court petition for a limited divorce and request spousal support. You should consult with a family attorney before doing anything on your own.
