Alimony in Maryland is generally rehabilitative and not punitive. The purpose is to provide support for a spouse who, due to the marriage, lost their ability to independently support themselves in an adequate way. It is not used to punish the at-fault party in a divorce. There are many factors courts consider, among them the duration of the marriage (the longer, the better), the standard of living you enjoyed during the marriage, the time it would take you to become self-sufficient, your present income and how it relates to the total family income, and many other factors.

Your marriage was rather short, although this seems to be the fault of your husband's philandering. You're also presently employed and appear to be in a career-advancing program (school). Unless your husband makes a tremendous amount more than you and to live on your own on your part-time job income your standard of living would be drastically reduced I would think your odds at alimony would be rather low. Reviewing all the facts in detail would be necessary to really evaluate this, but based on the brief statement in your question I would think you would have a low chance of receiving any significant award of alimony.
