Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

My son is a high functioning Autistic and is currently 18. I had a custody consent order for child support that was awarded at the age of 17 and was to continue until age 19 due to his disability and that he would not graduate from high school prior to age 19. That order has since been replaced with a guardianship order. In the guardianship order there are no provisions for the continuance of support in any way. Am I responsible to continue to pay or accumulate child support from the time the new order was awarded if there are no provisions in the new order to do so?

If you are his appointed guardian you have a responsibility to see that his living expenses are provided for. You should check to see if he is eligible for SSI or some other program that can offer support.
