Legal Question in Family Law in Maryland

My son's father died before he was born and his mother was the beneficiary

Is there any legal recourse I can take against my son's grandmother? Her son (the father of my son) died when I was 7 months pregnant. She is the beneficiary of her son's insurance policy. She has acknowledged my son as her grandson but has failed to give him any of the insurance proceeds.

Unfortunately, your son's grandmother has no legal responsibility to provide for him. So she has complete discretion over what to do with the insurance proceeds.
