Civil procedure
when served with a civil suit. if response time is 28 days. Is defendant given extra days if a holiday falls during the week and the courts are closed? Or does the time frame include weekends and holidays?

Time to answer is extended only if the last day is on a weekend or holiday. Intervening weekends and holidays are not excluded.
