Missing funds

A former represenative payee has mismanage conserved funds of mine. There is between $2500 to $3000 missing. I have it documented to the nth degree. A trial balance that doesn't balance,letters from social security and receipts. The former represenative payee refused to siscuss this matter. What recourse do I have to settle this matter?

You could file a legal action asking for an accounting and that the funds be restored to the account. This would amount to a small claims action which you could file in the District Court of Maryland, assuming there is MD jurisdiction over the person.
