Legal Question in Civil Litigation in Maryland

I did some sewing for some one. I made items for his boat. He did give me some money. He said he would pay the balance and pick the items up. He never did. I put my own money out for these items.

I have called several times to reach him. One of the numbers was his work phone.

I cannot get hold of him. Every thing else he gave me is no longer any good. I tried to find him thruogh the internet and phone searches. I'm at a loss. His boss says the phone has been return to the business and several people are trying to collect from him. His ex boss doesn;t know where he is and has no info to give me.

All the info I have on him is no good.

I can't even sue because there is no way to contact him.

My question is how long do I have to hold on to these items. I can try to sell them to get my time and money back.
