Maryland has a 3year Statute Limitations in general,once A

case is filed how long do you have to served the defendant

the case?, are their statute on prosecution?.

Re: Statute Of Limitation

There is no fixed limit on how long a plaintiff has to serve. However, a summons is good only for 60 days and has to be renewed after that to be served. If there are no docket entries for a year, the case is subject to dismissal, but renewal of the summons is enough to avoid that.
