Legal Question in Intellectual Property in Maryland

A few years ago I entered a poem I had written in a poetry contest. I got it copyrighted but the poetry place still used it for whatever they wanted and I recieved no royalties in return. Now that website has gone out of business for being sued for using copyrighted poems but another poetry site has my poem on it even though at the bottom it says its copyrighted. I'm afraid they are going to use my poem in all of their printed anthologies now and I want some compensation for it because I did not give them permission. What can I do about this?

Any IP or franchise attorney will say this: you need to consult with an attorney to evaluate your legal position and take appropriate action. This is not something you want to attempt on your own. Consult with a good IP or franchise attorney in your area for specific advice.
