compensation after being fired

Are employers required to provide compensation such as two weeks of pay to an employee who is fired with no prior reason, write ups, warning, ect. Are they responsable for paying accrued vacation time or any other supplemental benifits that may be due.

There is no obligation to pay severance unless it is promised in a contract, policy manual or other agreement. As for accrued vacation and other benefits, these generally must be paid if they have been earned.
