Legal Question in Employment Law in Maryland

Saturday is my day off and missed my boss phone call this morning because I was busy getting my boys ready for their ski adventure. He sent me an email with the subject "Write Up". He gave me and the director of operations a warning for not responding to his call. Does he have the right to write me up on my day off? BTW, I am the manager of our office. Please advise. I am bothered. Thanks

If you are an "at will" employee (meaning you have no employment agreement or contract and you are not part of a union), then the boss can basically do what he wants. If you don't like it, you can quit.

Best of luck.*****The above is for informational purposes only and does not create an attorney-client privilege.********
