Re: termination

Unfortunately, you will need to provide a lot more information before this question can be answered. Depending upon your particular circumstances (i.e. the particular entity that employs you, your age, the nature of your illness, the length of time that you've been out, your ability to return to work, etc.) and other factors your employer may or may not be able to terminate your employment. The Americans with Disabilities Act and/or the Family Medical Leave Act may apply depending upon your circumstances, as well as other principals of either common law and/or contract law. If you live or work in Maryland, please feel free to call at your leisure and I will be happy to chat for a few minutes to see if I can assist you in any way.
